The Church of the Brethren has roots that date back to Germany in the 1700s and is historically recognized as a peace church. There are over 800 COB congregations across the U.S, as well as many sister churches around the world. This family church doesn't adhere to strict sets of rules; instead, it believes that the best way to live faithfully is to emulate Jesus by living peacefully, simply, and together.

At First Church of the Brethren, we combine aspects of a traditional worship service with elements of a more contemporary service. We recognize that, just like faith, every individual has their own experiences and needs when it comes to worship. As a welcoming family church, we are always exploring new ways to share and learn about faith and God's love.

Programs
We offer ministries and programs for people of all ages and backgrounds, embodying the spirit of a welcoming family church. Our music program, led by the talented Billy Martin, has blessed our congregation at First Church for over 20 years. In addition to a choral choir, the First COB invites volunteers to join its bell choir as well.
