Pastor Marty Doss

Prior to joining First Church, Marty served as Pastor at Mt. Bethel Church of the Brethren in Dayton, VA. Other pastorates include Blue Ridge and Fairview Churches of the Brethren.  

Marty grew up in Henry County, VA and completed his undergraduate degree at Radford University in 1989. He received his Masters of Divinity from Eastern Mennonite Seminary in 2004. 

He and his wife, Cheryl, live in Harrisonburg along with their daughter, Jill. Marty enjoys podcasting, golfing, and is a huge fan of the Washington Nationals. He also enjoys vacationing with his family and expanding his bow tie collection.
